CAPTURING A 250-YEAR STORY THROUGH THE LENS OF TIME

Filming for SLATERSVILLE began in January 2012, though significant video was captured in 2005 and earlier.  Since then we have filmed interviews with 145 people (32 have passed away). We have scanned over 15,000 images and uncovered historic materials never-before-seen by historians or the public. These incredible discoveries lead to our decision to expand this story into a historical documentary series covering the origins of the Rhode Island textile industry. Over the course of 11 episodes, SLATERSVILLE will take the audience on an enriching journey from the early days of the Slater Family era to the influence of the Kendall Company's ownership and the fight to preserve the Slatersville Mill and its history into the 21st Century.
